Despite the tough competition, 2NE1’s Park Bom held strong at no.1 with “Don’t Cry” while f(x) also kept their spot at no.2.
On the other hand veteran artists Lim Jae Beom debuted at no.3 with “For You”, and After School’s “Shampoo” rose an impressive 11 spots ranking 4th.
Finally SISTAR’s newest subunit group SISTAR 19 has proven to be a hit, as they debuted at no.5 with “Ma Boy”.
While many artists took a hard beating dropping over 5-10 spots, while some like Girls’ Generation experienced a boost, rising to no.18 with ‘Mr.Taxi”.

SISTAR 19 presented their single, “Ma Boy”, released on 3rd May.
Following that, Jay Park made his debut as solo artist performing his tracks, “Tonight” and “Abandoned”, from his newly released mini-album titled “Take A Deeper Look”. He also became the winner of Music Bank’s K-Chart this week.

Sistar’s new sub-unit ‘Sistar19’, who teased with a MV preview a few days ago, released their digital single “Ma Boy” just a moment ago through online music portals.
‘Sistar19’, formed by main vocalist Hyorin and rapper Bora, presents you their debut song “Ma Boy”, which has a sweet vibe, highlighted by Hyorin’s smooth vocals and Bora’s sophisticated rapping. Unlike the previously revealed teaser, “Ma Boy” displays a very different image.

Hyorin and Bora have formed a project group called SISTAR 19 and have already revealed jacket photo teaser images and their first music video teaser.
Ahead of their album release, SISTAR 19 took part of the recording for KBS “100 Points out of 100” idol sports special, which aired on April 30th. However, member Bora caused a lot of worry after she sustained a head injury during the recording.
Bora took part in the female running relay 50 meter final event with Hyorin, NS Yoonji, Baby J (Jewelry), Jiyeon (T-ara), and Azi (CHI CHI). Bora had taken the lead, however, just as she passed the finish line, she tripped and fell and heavily landed on her head.
All of the female runners immediately stopped in their track to help Bora, who was covering her face with her hands due to her pain. Members of the other teams that had been watching from the sideline and a medic also ran to her in concern. Bora was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Fans who watch flooded the internet with concern and worries. However, SISTAR 19’s agency said, “She has not sustained any serious injury. We apologize for making fans worry.”
SISTAR 19 will release their first single “MA BOY” on May 3rd.

Girl group SISTAR will have their 1st project group called “SISTAR 19.” This project group has come to a surprise to many. This is the first sub-unit from the group since their debut in 2010 with their song, “Push Push.”
SISTAR 19 will consist of rapper Bora and main vocalist Hyorin. They will release their first digital single, “Ma Boy,” on May 3rd.
To tease fans, SISTAR 19 has released their first image teasers of the duo. One of the black-and-white images include Bora and Hyorin sitting on a couch with wavy long hair and giving off a provocative look.
SISTAR 19 refers to a 19 year old woman who is within the boundaries of a girl and lady. The theme is to show the purity and the uneasy stage during that age. In order to help others feel that, Hyorin and Bora have melted their emotions and love into the song and have created this name.
Netizens responded to the teasers with praises such as, “I can’t take my eyes off Hyorin and Bora” and “I can’t take my eyes off their legs.”
Concerning the name of the project group, netizens commented, “Does 19 refer to the underage admission of shows for those over 19,” “Does this mean they will show the purity of a 19 year old.” Many other meanings were discussed regarding the number, 19.
Starship Entertainment said, “SISTAR 19 will feature Hyorin’s explosive vocals and Bora’s solid rapping, and will show a different feel from other girl groups.”
