Dream Concert starts to reveal official line-up

Last week, Koreaboo reported about the Korea Entertainment Producers’ Association’s official press release concerning the “I Love You Korea 2011 Dream Concert”.

After a fake list of performers started to be spread around the Internet, the announcement from KEPA pointed out that only TVXQ, 2PM, IU and 4Minute were officially confirmed as part of the line-up at that time.

Dream Concert’s official site was recently revamped to include a larger list of performers for this year’s concert. The concert is to be held on May 28th at 6:30 p.m. at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The performers who have been confirmed so far are TVXQ, 2PM, miss A, 4minute, BEAST, Secret, SISTAR, CN BLUE, IU, After School, U-Kiss, G.NA, KARA, K.Will and T-ara. On the 29th, Dream Concert’s official Twitter had also included FT Island and f(x) on the list of confirmed performers, but the two groups do not currently appear on the website.

There also seems to be some confusion with Star Empire’s ZE:A and Brown Eyed Girls’ Jea. On some parts of the website, the boys of ZE:A are listed as performers, but under the “2011 Dream Concert Artist” section, Jea is listed and ZE:A isn’t. More performers will be revealed during this week, and the situation will hopefully get cleared up soon.

Various Korean Artists to Reschedule Japanese Activities

Various Korean Artists to Reschedule Japanese Activities

It has been announced that various idols who had originally planned to hold promotional events in Japan this May will be rescheduling the events following the devastation caused by the recent natural disaster.

Korean idols such as 4minute, BEAST, CN BLUE, amongst many had planned various promotional activities in Japan this May, however, due to the recently natural disaster, all upcoming events have either been rescheduled or extended.

In regards to the development, Cube Entertainment, most noted as the agency of 4minute and BEAST, stated on April 24th, “We had originally planned to focus on promoting in Japan during the month of May. However, because of the massive amount of damage Japan as sustained, and the many areas that are still in the process of recovery, we have decided to reschedule the dates for our Japanese promotions. As of now, we are still in discussion as to when we will actually reschedule these events for, and will have to consider the situation for a more extended period of time.”

So, while it seems that Japanese promotions planned for May will not be cancelled, they are, as of now, on a indefinite hiatus for many K-pop idols.

4minute’s Members Take Public Transportation?

4minute's Members Take Public Transportation?

It has been revealed that the members of 4minute use the bus to attend university. But what is the reason behind this?

Currently Ji Yoon, Ji Hyun, Ga Yoon and Hyuna attend university and all of them use public transportation to go there. On the other hand, So Hyun, who is still at high school student, uses a car from the company.

The reason behind this is because of an agency’s policy. The company only provides transportation for their usual schedule, however they do not drive the girls to school.

A representative has mentioned that the agency has this policy with all the celebrities, except with underage ones. The company took this decision because they want that the celebrities experience the real life, and learn how it feels to live as regular student.

The representative continued saying that the young members are currently developing their characters, so all of them go to university in plain clothes and without make-up.

So Hyun is still driven to school by an agency’s car because a lot of fans go to her school, and it is important to take care of her safety.
